Spring 1995
Allison (Rufatto) Ebert
update submitted: 4-4-06
Career info:
I graduated from Indiana University in 1999 with degrees in psychology
and chemistry. From there I went to Northwestern University in Chicago
to get my Ph.D. in neuroscience where I studied gene therapy techniques
designed to halt Parkinson's disease progression. I met my husband Sean
at Northwestern and got married in 2002. Sean, from Ashton, IL, studied
mechanical and industrial engineering and was a wrestler at
Northwestern. After I finished grad school at the end of 2004, we moved
to Madison, WI. I am now doing stem cell research, and Sean works for a
software company.
Other info:
Sadly, I haven't played much tennis, but I did ride in IU's Little 500
bike race my senior year (we came in 4th). Sean and I started doing
triathlons a few years ago, and we've done the Muncie Endurathon the
last 2 years and will be doing it again this year. We also did the
Ironman Triathlon in Madison, Wis., this past year, and we hope to do it again
in 2007. We don't have any children, but our dog Wendy keeps us busy
enough.
