Tim Cleland
Coach Tim Cleland will begin his 40th season as head
coach of Delta High School Tennis with the Spring 2012 girls' tennis season.
Coach Cleland has helped DHS Tennis become one of Indiana's premier high school tennis
programs. In his first 39 seasons, more than half (20) of the seasons have
ended at the IHSAA State Finals in team, doubles, or singles competition.
In the 2010-2011 school year, DHS Tennis advanced to the Team State Finals in
both boys and girls tennis.

Boys Assistant Coach
Craig Vickery
Craig, an engineer at Saint Gobain Container
Corporation in Muncie, returns as boys' assistant coach, a role that he
filled for four seasons prior to sitting out the 2009 season. He also
spent nine seasons as head coach at Winchester Community High School. Craig and
his wife, Amy, have one son, Caleb, and live in Winchester.
Boys Assistant Coach
Josh Cooper
Josh, pastor at The Bridge church in Muncie,
will be in his second season as boys' assistant coach. Josh was an
All-State Doubles player at DHS in 1997 and 1998. He then played baseball
at Taylor University. Josh has coaching experience as an assistant boys'
coach at Yorktown High School. Josh and his wife, Jill, live in Muncie.
Girls Assistant Coach
Hayley Hall
Hayley, a graduate student at
Ball State University, has joined the program as girls' assistant coach for
Spring 2012. She completed a legendary tennis career at Delta High School.
A four-year All-State Singles player, she competed three times at the IHSAA
State Singles Finals and was runner-up in 2006. Hayley won 86 career
varsity matches, sharing all-time victory leader honors with her friend, Kristin
Crider. She played No. 1 singles at Ball State University. Her youth
tennis career included national rankings and multiple sportsmanship awards at
major tournaments throughout the Midwest. Hayley has taught tennis
in Chicago and is currently on staff at the Muncie YMCA Tennis Center.
Girls Assistant Coach
Taylor Cardini
Taylor, a sophomore at
Ball State University, has joined the program as girls' assistant coach for
Spring 2012. She played varsity doubles at Delta and graduated in 2010.
Taylor has taught tennis at the Tim Cleland Tennis Camp and at middle school
tennis sessions as well as private lessons. She is a past recipient of the
Grandma Peggy Brown Spirit of Caring Award for DHS Tennis. She is majoring
in elementary education at Ball State.
